Spaces and sections
Use sections to control structure, sorting, and visibility.
More elaborate tutorials are being worked on and will be added soon.
1. Create sections
- In a space, open Settings and choose Edit sections.
- Give each section a name and color.
- Assign a dashboard-style column if your space uses multiple columns.
2. Choose section behavior
- Rule-based sections include items matching your rules.
- Manual sections let you explicitly pin and order specific items.
- You can mix rule-based and manual approaches in one space.
3. Sorting and pagination
- Choose sort key and direction (title/created/updated).
- Use visible item count controls for initial load size.
- Users can load more items without losing section context.
4. Privacy overrides
Even in public/shared spaces, sections can be marked private. Private sections are owner-only.
5. “Other items” area
Items not captured by any section appear in Other items unless hidden in section settings.
